This post offers a rare opportunity to gain experience and qualifications to become a qualified professional Trading Standards Officer. This will involve working and studying within the Chartered Trading Standards Institute’s Qualification Framework.

The successful candidate will undertake four years of study, examinations and gaining practical experience. Working within Perth and Kinross Council’s Trading Standards Team, part of the larger Regulatory Services Team, the post holder will, as well as working and studying for qualification, perform the functions of a Trading Standards Assistant.

The successful candidate will be educated to Degree level, most probably in a Legal, Scientific or an Engineering subject, however any Higher Education qualification will be considered.
