You will line manage a childcare team and be a member of the locality management team providing supervision and workload management to qualified and unqualified staff; participate in the duty rota; chair a range of relevant meetings; ensure a high quality of service delivery; work in partnership with other agencies.

It is essential you have a BA (Hons) in Social Work or equivalent; be registered with SSC; have experience of working in a social work area team and of social work procedures and policies; have knowledge and/or experience of the SWIFT system; a knowledge of legislation concerning social work; effective organisational, IT, leadership and people management, interpersonal, assessment and writing and communication skills both verbal and written. You must be motivated, flexible in approach, able to work out with normal hours on occasions; committed to Social Work values with the ability to manage workloads and build strong relationships with other professionals.

Full training and support will be given to ensure that you are able to maintain the department’s commitment to continuous improvement.
