Role Purpose

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist is now available within the Adult Social Work and practice team based in Duns, Berwickshire, part of the Scottish Borders Health and Social Care partnership.

Applicants must have excellent communication skills, experience of partnership working, assessment and maximising independent living skills. A working knowledge of rehabilitation, moving and handling, housing solutions, equipment and adaptations would be desirable.

We are a small, supportive, friendly, forward-thinking team. You will have access to regular supervision both within the team and from the Professional Lead Occupational Therapist. In addition to this, there is regular Peer support and CPD opportunities with Occupational Therapy colleagues across the Scottish Borders.

The Team is made up of Social Workers, Nurse care managers, Occupational Therapists and Para-professionals. We provide a Social Work and Occupational Therapy service for the local communities of Duns, Eyemouth and the surrounding areas.

Essential

Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy

Registered with HCPC

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.
