Role Purpose

Two Team Leader posts have become available in the Eildon/Central locality, based in Galashiels, within a SBC Social Work and Practice Team. We are looking for an experienced Social Work, Occupational Therapist or Nursing practitioner to lead an enthusiastic and motivated staff, delivering high quality assessment, support planning and, in some instances, review functions.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate experience delivering a frontline service but also possess the correct leadership skills and commitment to equitable, non-discriminatory practices and demonstrate values and personal attributes in line with the job specification. The candidate should be able to illustrate attention to detail aligned with professional knowledge, drive and determination. The candidate will have Council Officer experience of Public Protection procedure and be able to promote service improvements.

Essential

Recognised and approved qualification in Social Work/Occupational Therapy/AHP or Nursing. Registration with associated professional body. Adult Protection and Council Officer.


A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.
