Hours of work vary and are between 7.5 up to 37 hours per week.
Please note this includes permanent 30 hour per week post.

Community Health and Social Care/Adult Services are recruiting individuals to join existing care teams in Lerwick supporting adults living with learning disabilities and autism. There are various positions and hours of work available. Some of these posts are permanent and others are temporary. There will also be openings to gain Relief work. Opportunities are available to support Adults with daily living in their own homes, in day care settings and in residential care settings.
Whilst we value previous experience, this is not essential. We recognise that many potential applicants will have no previous formal experience in care work. However, they will have the required transferable skill to successful begin a career in the caring profession. Support will be given to these individual. Both during the application process and in the initial stages of employment.
Working within the Social Care Sector can bring great satisfaction for both staff and customers. So, if you are interested in working with people, have good interpersonal and communications skills, and a fair degree of personal resilience then Adult Services would welcome your application.
