Job Description

The aim of Social Work Resources is to promote social welfare and provide effective care and support to meet the needs of vulnerable people in South Lanarkshire. In partnership with community planning partners, voluntary and independent provider organisations, we offer a range of services designed to enable, support, improve and protect the health and social care of people using our services.

Social Work Resources have been redesigning elements of the delivery of its Unpaid Work service. The unpaid work service works with and monitors those who are subject to a Court Disposal of a Community Payback Order (Unpaid Work & Other Activity Requirement) or a Fiscal Work Order and are undertaking unpaid work in the community.

 

 

 

 

Requirements

Justice Social Work Services in South Lanarkshire are recruiting to their unpaid work service. This role supports our service users undertake their Community Payback Order hours as directed by the courts.

The role of the unpaid work placement supervisor is to oversee groups of service users in a variety of locations and undertaking various tasks that are of benefit to the local community.

You will be required to work either as part of a team alongside other supervisors or alone, supervising up to 5 service users. The work is predominantly outdoors in some cases in remote locations and may require you to work in inclement weather.

You must be able to motivate and supervise service users, some of whom have complex needs to undertake manual work within the community. You will work as part of team to plan, organise and supervise service users to carry out that allocated tasks such as pathwork, gardening tasks, painting amongst others

The successful candidate will be required to work across all areas within South Lanarkshire and driving experience is desirable.

Previous experience of supervising adults desirable but not essential.
