Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Community Caretaker to join a hard working and fun team within Stirling Council’s Facilities Management Service. The post will involve providing caretaking services within the Halls and Centres team on a 16 hour per week basis in support of the local community. Working hours for the post will be on a shift basis working Monday to Friday between the hours of 0800-2200 paid at Stirling Council Grade 4 (currently £12.70 per hour). Occasional weekend working may be required. Applicants will need to be physically fit, as porterage and other heavy lifting forms a large part of the role, and be prepared at times to work outdoors in inclement weather. Applicants must also have a current full UK driving licence. Personal protective equipment will be provided and training where necessary. Applicants will also require a basic working knowledge of IT and be willing to undertake training to allow them to utilise Stirling Council online training and human resources IT applications.
