Job Description

West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership are seeking to recruit a full time Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) Co-ordinator.

This is an exiting opportunity for the right candidate to support the work of the West Dunbartonshire Violence Against Women and Girls Partnership (VAWGP) by further developing and embedding local MARAC arrangements.

The post holder will co-ordinate West Dunbartonshire MARAC meetings, ensuring that all referrals both meet the criteria for MARAC and have the relevant information provided to support decision making. In addition, the post holder will manage the data requirements for the MARAC process, and will be a key member of the VAWGP contributing to the progression of our Equally Safe priorities.

The MARAC process identifies the highest risk victims of domestic abuse, working collaboratively within the MARAC arrangements to ensure that the risk of significant and serious harm, including homicide, is addressed and reduced.

The successful candidate will therefore be able to demonstrate their experience of working within multi-disciplinary arrangements, with specific knowledge and understanding of the context within which gender-based violence occurs, and both an understanding and experience of risk assessment within a gendered context. The ability to work collaboratively, share knowledge and upskill / train others in respect of GBV and domestic abuse risk assessment specifically will also be key.

If you are interested in the post, and would like to discuss it further please contact either; Annie Ritchie, Senior Manager, West Dunbartonshire HSCP or Laura Smith, Service Manager, West Dunbartonshire HSCP on 0141 562 8800.

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults and/or Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
