Lecturer in Professional Learning - EC00985/LF

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Commercial Course Department for a committed and enthusiastic lecturer to deliver our professional learning courses in People Management (CIPD) and Management and Leadership (CMI and ILM). Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to take up this post.

The successful candidate will create and deliver professional qualifications for our CIPD, ILM and CMI courses to a variety of corporate clients and students. The delivery model is mainly online but this may include on site at the employer’s workplace, in a college campus or at an external training venue. You will deliver courses to a range of staff from operational to strategic level of management.

It is essential that you are educated to Master’s degree Level (SCQF Level 11) in HR/CIPD/ Management & Leadership and also hold a current CIPD membership. Having industry experience in a management role or equivalent and a professional management related qualification is desirable.

Previous experience in delivering courses, developing materials as well as assessing is required. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate an effective contribution to team working and the student experience. You will provide support to these students throughout their course of study and maintain records of group student attendance and achievements. You will also be responsible for preparing materials for lessons as specified within job outline and interact with students to monitor knowledge and understanding as well as providing constructive feedback to learners on their performance.
