Lecturer - Construction Management and Technology (Evening)
£34,170 - £42,357 (pro rata)
0.12 FTE / 4.2 hours per week
Based at Falkirk Campus
Fixed term until June 2022

We are looking for someone with relevant professional/industrial experience in Built Environment subjects which may include, Construction Management, Architectural Technology, Civil/Structural Engineering, Building Surveying, Building Standards or, with lecturing experience in these areas, preferably in a Further Education College, and possess a minimum qualification of a Higher National Certificate/Diploma (or equivalent) in a Construction/Built Environment related discipline.

You will produce high quality learning, teaching and assessment materials, and deliver excellent teaching within the specialist area. You will work with others to develop new approaches to teaching, making use of learning technologies.

Ensuring that the curriculum is relevant and up-to-date, you will contribute to the development of elements of provision and enhance students’ learning through providing support. You will naturally have a strong learner focus.

Ideally, you will have experience of developing innovative teaching practice along with good organisational skills and evidence of appropriate ICT skills. You will also possess good knowledge and understanding of health and safety requirements and a sound understanding of quality standards. Ideally, you will have a Personal Development Award in Teaching, or have a willingness to work towards achieving this award.
