The GCU Foundation, Alumni and Events team is responsible for the relationship management of the University’s alumni, donors and friends, raising philanthropic income and engaging key stakeholders via communications, events and volunteering.

 

The main purpose of this role is to support the delivery of communication and engagement activity across the Alumni and Foundation teams.   The post holder will be responsible for producing engaging content for communications with GCU’s community of alumni, donors and friends, across a variety of communication vehicles such as video, the annual magazine, e-newsletters and social media, as well as reports to recognise donor support. In addition, the role will also support communications and engagement activity for our award-winning MINT (Mentoring, Internships, Networking and Talks) Programme which seeks to boost the employability of our final year students.

The successful candidate will have excellent written communication skills, with the ability to interpret and convey complex information.  Furthermore, they will have experience of video creation and editing, producing content for publications, reports, websites and social media. The successful candidate will have experience of supporting the delivery of events, evidence of relationship building and customer service as well as being able to work to tight timescales.
