A vacancy has arisen within St Aloysius’ College which is one of Scotland’s top independent day schools. The College has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and is a great place to work with regular opportunities for clinical supervision discussions and continued professional development. It is located in the city centre of Glasgow, very close to Sauchiehall Street. Ideally situated for transport links and with easy access to shopping areas.

A high-profile school nursing role like this doesn’t come along every day. This role offers regular hours (8.45am – 3.45pm, Monday to Friday) and a varied clinical role, working within a small team with a Senior Nurse, and term time only (38 weeks) – so this is a rare and superb opportunity.

If you are an experienced Registered Nurse who is interested in improving the health and wellbeing of young people and in particular providing treatment for and advising College staff on a wide range of medical issues then this is the role for you. The role involves close liaison with our Pastoral Care Staff and Parents. The College is committed to promoting the physical and mental health and wellbeing of pupils and staff.

The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with current validation with the NMC. Whilst not essential, it would be ideal if they have a Specialist Practitioner Nursing qualification such as School Nurse, Health Visitor or Child Health. You must be enthusiastic, highly organised, self-motivated, and have the ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external relationships at all levels. You will be required to maintain current NMC Registration, NMC validation and professional competence.

More information about the College and the job description can be found on the website www.staloysius.org

If you are interested in applying, application forms can be found on our website and should be competed and sent to Shona Thomson in the Human Resources Department by no later than 12noon on Thursday 28th March 2024. CVs will not be accepted in lieu of an application form.

St Aloysius' College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be required to undertake appropriate pre-employment checks including PVG checks. All appointments are subject to satisfactory references.
