ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking to recruit experienced Lead Technical Services Officers to support the underlying infrastructure on which a range of innovative developments, including Enterprise Mobility, Forensics, Cybercrime, Systems Integration and National Systems Developments.
You will be valued for your contribution in terms of technical designs and solutions, and for recommending solutions that fit with organisational goals, relevant legislation and ICT strategies under the direction of the Head of ICT Systems.
As a Lead Technical Services Officer, you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of aspects of the organisation’s server infrastructure, as well as core domain services. Within projects, you will act as a technical lead providing technical expertise along with the design, implementation and support of systems components.
This full time post is temporary with an end date of 31/12/2022 and requires Management Vetting. You will work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 0900 –1700 hours. The post holder will be required to participate in an on call rota for mission critical systems, for which an allowance will be paid.

ABOUT YOU
Educational/Occupational Essential
•HND/relevant professional certification in related computing
Or
•Infrastructure discipline or a combination of qualifications and relevant experience.
Personal Qualities Essential
•Proven experience of supervising a multi-discipline technical team in a large-scale environment
•Proven technical expertise in configuration of at least one of the following: Cisco, Microsoft, Citrix, Virtualisation, UNIX, packaging, thick/thin clients.
•Experience of network/server management tools, implementing network/server based operating systems, communications networks, server silos or network security (firewall products).
•Experience of managing relationships with suppliers, internal & external partners
•Experience of leading and delivering projects using iterative methodology e.g. Prince 2
•Strong management, communication, planning skills.
Personal Qualities Desirable
•ITIL Foundation Certificate
