The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service would like to invite applications for the post of Corporate Admin Assistant Team Leader on a Fixed Term basis until 1 November 2025. The both is based at Scottish Fire and Rescue Headquarters, Cambuslang but with an opportunity to work from home.  This is a full-time opportunity, working 35 hours per week however applications from individuals seeking to work on a part time, job share, or flexible working basis would be considered.


The successful candidate will be required to supervise the Corporate Admin Team and support, develop, implement and manage the provision of a flexible, high quality and sustainable business support to Board, SLT, SMT and Headquarters based functions as appropriate and in line with organisational objectives.


Previous supervisory experience working within a busy general office environment, and competence in Microsoft Packages, in particular Word and Excel are essential, in addition to past experience of taking minutes at Executive level meetings is required.  Previous experience of report writing is also essential as well as an understanding and awareness of corporate governance requirements.


Applicants must have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work on your own initiative prioritising your workload and that of the team to meet tight deadlines in a fast-changing environment.  You will need to be self-motivated and flexible in your approach.  A strong awareness of confidentiality is also essential.


Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to regular review - in line with the SFRS performance appraisal arrangements.  A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.
