Barnardo's Youth Involvement Project (YIP) works with children and young people under the age of 18. The service aims to promote positive outcomes for all children, young people and families. We are currently recruiting Project workers to join out team. If successful, Your role would be to help families strengthen relationships, maximise potential and thrive within their community.

Applicants should demonstrate the following:

  • Experience of working alongside children, young people and families with a range of complex issues including child protection.
  • Be aware of the issues facing children, young people and families.
  • Experience of partnership working with a range of agencies.
  • Ability to apply relevant supports to meet the needs of the individual.
  • Hold a full driving licence and have access to a car for work purposes
  • Be able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends when required
  • Ability to keep accurate records
  • Demonstrate an ability to carry out the duties as outlined in the job description and person specification,.
