HR Advisor (Inverness OR Home or Hybrid working from a Scotland base)

This is an exciting time to join us in a newly created role within our growing HR team, working alongside three other generalist HR Advisors. This role provides you with a great opportunity to be involved in a broad range of HR activities providing a full generalist HR service to a specific area of the business - providing advice and guidance on casework, policies, procedures and complex terms and conditions of service. In addition, you’ll undertake specific projects related to recruitment and selection, reviewing our current approach.

With demonstrable knowledge and awareness of current employment law and best HR practise, you will also have CIPD membership, ideally at Graduate level. We’ll provide you with the training and knowledge to develop your skills working in the public sector and alongside trade unions.

Whilst the base for the role is Head Office (at Inverness Airport) we have a flexible approach to working which includes home and hybrid working. There will be the opportunity for you to develop close working relationships with the team and the airports you support, enhanced by some on site meetings.

We are a Non-Departmental Public Body of The Scottish Government employing around 700 staff in a wide variety of roles across 12 sites. We offer a great benefits package which includes:

  • 28.5 days annual leave (increasing to 33.5 after 5 years service) plus 8 public holidays
  • Flexi-time scheme
  • Access to a defined benefit pension scheme
  • An Employee Assistance Programme
  • Cycle to Work scheme

Closing date for applicants is 19 July 2022.

We are committed to ensuring diversity and equality of opportunity at all of our airports.

We have made a positive commitment to employing disabled people and aim to provide support to individuals with disabilities throughout the recruitment process and their employment.

In support of our commitment to the Gaelic language and culture, as demonstrated in our Gaelic Language Plan, we welcome applications from those with Gaelic language skills.

Please note that the company is currently undertaking a job evaluation project and pay and grading system, all salaries are subject to review through this process.
