Post: Project Officer – Argyll and Bute Bus Partnership Fund

Location: Oban

Salary: £27,355 - £30,750

Contract: Fixed term – Initially until 31 April 2023), Secondments will be considered

Position: Full Time (35 hours per week)

Argyll and Bute Council in partnership with HITRANS and local bus operators have secured funding from the Scottish Government’s Bus Partnership Fund to implement improvements to bus infrastructure in Oban that will help improve the journey times and reliability of local bus services. HITRANS are looking to recruit a Project Officer on behalf of the local partnership to deliver these initiatives and to also establish a Bus Service Improvement Partnership to support both the delivery of these projects but also wider improvements and partnership working for local bus services in Argyll and Bute.

The Project Officer will support the delivery of all aspects of Bus Partnership Fund projects in Highland and associated initiatives. The post holder will work closely with a range of partners including local bus operators, Transport Scotland, and multiple local stakeholders in the Fort William and Inverness areas. The post holder will be educated to degree level or equivalent, or have considerable relevant project experience.
