JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Director of Operational Services you will be responsible for managing the delivery of technical operational support to the Company in respect of Property Maintenance, Asset and Environmental Management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Property & Maintenance
Key Tasks
· To manage a planned programme of property, plant and equipment maintenance in conjunction with appropriate Company and contractor personnel, ensuring Health & Safety and Legislative standards are maintained
· To lead, develop the deliver the Company’s effective management of Property Maintenance
· To lead, develop and deliver the Company’s Property Asset Management Plan
· To lead and develop the effective management and performance monitoring of external contractors
· Lead on the development of Project Brief’s/Scope and Benefits Review Plans relating to property and maintenance
· Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions through key stage reports
· To contribute to, attend, present to and advise Project Groups, Management Teams, Committees and partner representatives as required by the Company and appropriate to the post
Environmental Management
Key Tasks
· To develop and deliver an environmental management plan, and identify actions to minimise the Company’s energy, carbon and water consumption and costs
· Develop and maintain appropriate performance indicators, benchmarking and performance data
· Data collation, analysis and monitoring of energy and carbon performance indicators
· Develop internal environmental ‘ambassador’ framework and support wider promotion of environmental initiatives and performance.
Financial
Key Tasks
· To lead in the preparation, review and monitoring of relevant budgets as required
· To manage budgets relevant to the post to ensure effective and efficient use of available resources
· To ensure the achievement of financial and performance targets within relevant areas of budgetary responsibility
· To procure any relevant works and services in line with the Company’s policies and relevant legal Legislative standards
· To comply with the Company’s Financial Regulations and Procedures
Health and Safety
Key Tasks
· To comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and all supplementary legislation
· To ensure Projects are delivered under current Health & Safety practice
Human Resources
Key Tasks
· To ensure, in liaison with the Head of Corporate Support Services, that all Company Human Resources Policies are maintained and adhered to
· Contribute to the recruitment and selection of staff
· Supervise and review performance of individuals within the Team
· Ensure individual teams have the relevant skills to perform their duties and that appropriate development opportunities are identified accordingly
General
Key Tasks
· The role will require flexibility around working hours and accessibility to ensure delivery of service
· To contribute to systems development, maintenance and management
· To ensure identified Planned Maintenance programmes and relevant projects adhere to the Company’s Environmental policies and frameworks
· To Conduct Investigations and Reviews as appropriate or required
· To maintain confidentiality and observe data protection regulations and guidelines
· To undertake other related duties as may be required by the Company
