Lothian Valuation Joint Board is an independent public authority that was established by The Valuation Joint Boards (Scotland) Order 1995. We povide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for East Lothian, the City of Edinburgh, Midlothian and West Lothian Councils in respect of compilation and maintenance of the Valuation Roll, Valuation (Council Tax) List and Registers of Electors.

The Project Manager role is a newly conceived opportunity within our organisation. The role holder will play a lead role in the delivery of a range of transformational and IT projects by supporting, supervising, and mentoring a team of project managers responsible for individual projects under the Continual Improvement Programme (CIP). The role will also provide input into the Project Programme Governance Group and Corporate Leadership Team as required. The role holder is expected to contribute heavily to defining project objectives, scope and dependencies and subsequently delivering project outcomes on time, making optimum use of resources.

The successful candidate will usually be qualified to degree or postgraduate level in a relevant discipline and will have an additional relevant qualification, such as PRINCE2 or equivalent, or management experience. The role holder will also have a proven record of leadership, management, planning and project management. The ability to be self-motivated, along with excellent communication skills and experience of change management are also critical to this role.
