Age Scotland Orkney is a local independent charity and has been working with and for older people in Orkney for over 25 years helping people to Love later Life. The aims of the charity are:

• help and support older people who live in their own homes, to retain dignity, choice and independence and to enjoy a meaningful, good quality of life

• work with other groups, both statutory and voluntary, national and local, on issues which will have an impact, in the longer term, on the lives of all older people

• support those living with dementia, their carers and families to live a full life.

We provide a Community Hub which is a central point of access where older people/people living with dementia and carers are regularly welcomed in a comfortable environment to enjoy activities which support person centred, social, psychological and physical wellbeing. This supports people to achieve practical and strength based outcomes.
