An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen within Grampian Women’s Aid for the position of Children and Young Person Team Leader. This post is a fixed term post of 12 months for maternity cover.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to manage and lead the day to day operations of our specialist children and young person’s service. The successful candidate will hold degree/diploma in a relevant discipline ie Social Work, Community Education, Children and Young People Support Services to a senior or management level. They will have experience of leading/managing a staff team and have a passion for improving the lives of women, children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse and be able to demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation. The successful applicant will be the acting Child Protection Officer for Grampian Women’s Aid.
Whilst the post will be based in Aberdeen City it will involve travel across all areas of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, therefore a valid driving licence and full access to car is essential. The role is subject to PVG scheme and SSSC membership. Women only need apply. This post is covered by a Genuine Occupational Requirement (Schedule 9; Equality Act 2010).
Hours/days of work may be negotiated but is preferrable to include each Wednesday. This post may suit someone who holds a current senior or management position seeking secondment to develop their skills within our specialist field of domestic abuse.
Salary – from £28,679.04 pro rata
