West Lothian life

West Lothian is a great place to live with its mix of modern developments and traditional towns, homes to rent and buy; villages and vibrant towns to choose from it is no wonder that the area is one of the fastest growing in Scotland.

From the modern shopping malls of Livingston to the traditional town centres of Armadale, Bathgate, Broxburn and Uphall, Linlithgow and Whitburn there is plenty of retail outlets to choose from.

Wherever you live in West Lothian the countryside is on your doorstep. West Lothian has three fantastic Country Parks, Almondell and Calderwood, Beecraigs and Polkemmet; the area boosts a range of outdoor activities from golf courses and horse-riding to a reknowned skate park, while the council’s arms length partners West Lothian Leisure provides leisure, sports and swimming facilities across the area.

You will find heritage and history in abundance – with Linlithgow Palace, museums, listed buildings, and Almond Valley Heritage Centre.
