We are currently seeking applications for two Corporate Performance Officers within Education Scotland which can be based out of one of our locations in Glasgow, Livingston, Dundee or Aberdeen. These are permanent and pensionable appointments and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. The Corporate Performance Team works to support Education Scotland to gather and use evidence about its contribution to organisational outcomes, including our support for educational recovery in 2020/21. We also support the definition and monitoring of performance measures. This post is responsible for leading a range of monitoring and evaluation projects that the team is undertaking across the organisation, including those with a focus on our support for educational recovery. It is an exciting opportunity to work in a small, friendly team and apply your analytical skills to improve our corporate approaches to evaluation and use performance data to support improvement. The post will involve working and communicating with staff at all levels from across Education Scotland and externally. We are recruiting 2 Corporate Performance Officers within Education Scotland.

Essential Criteria

1. Strong analytical skills using both qualitative and quantitative data. However, a particular skillset in quantitative methods and analysis is a requirement for this post. As is knowledge of Data Protection Act 2018.

2. Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels to ensure delivery, demonstrating well-developed stakeholder management skills.

3. Ability to problem solve, make decisions and prioritise where there are time constraints.

4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write concisely and clearly for a range of different audiences, to enable the required outcome.
