UHI Shetland have an exciting opportunity for a Head Cook at our Briggistanes Cafe in the Lerwick Campus.
The Head Cook will work alongside the Cafeteria Assistant to ensure that the cafe provides high quality food and customer focused service, while also meeting all relevant health and safety requirements. The successful candidate must also hold possession of an SVQ2/Highers or equivalent in a related subject and hold a Food Hygiene Certificate and must also have previous supervisory experience.
The role is available on a term time only contract and we are happy to hear from applicants who can work up to 35 hours per week during term time.
The Preferred candidate will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update with a successful outcome prior to starting appointment.
