VACANCY - HOUSING ADVISER
Salary: £12.68 - £13.86 (£24,462.00 - £26,738.43 p.a) dependant on experience
Based on 37hrs/wk

The successful candidate will become part of our highly respected Scottish National Standards Accredited Advice Team to provide free, confidential and impartial Housing Advice and Advocacy with the main focus on early intervention and homeless prevention. You will assist vulnerable people who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness and if necessary link to our Tribunal Worker.
As part of the team you and your peers will be provided with support to enable you to empower service users to prevent their homelessness and enforce their rights. Management and peer case reviews assist in ensuring quality, consistency, and prompt in house team training. You will assist service users to have the knowledge required to make informed choice on housing and poverty related issues across all housing sectors.
Full training will be given, however, it is expected that applicants will have experience and knowledge of housing and homeless legislation and policy. You will have a comprehensive understanding of Benefits, income maximisation and grant to relieve poverty. You will help providing the Centre’s HEY project in Schools as and when required. Use of a car and driving licence is essential.
