Support Worker (South Edinburgh)

We are currently looking for an experienced team of Support Workers to assist a gentleman in his 20’s to live independently at home. The gentleman lives by himself and has Muscular Dystrophy. He is dependent on a ventilator and therefore requires assistance to ensure his safety.

The Role:

• Providing all elements of daily living, from personal care to going out and about
• Companionship
• Assistance with all elements of his day
• Support in social activities and accompanying this young man on days out/family visits, etc
• Responsibility for domestic tasks and food preparation under the instruction of the client

About You:

• You must be friendly, flexible, reliable and a good communicator and a dedicated individual
• You will have a respectful attitude; combined with being able to take direction whilst still recognising when to use your own initiative.
• A full clean driving licence is preferred. Car provided by client.
• Previous Support Work experience essential (full specialist training will be given)
