Location: Ark Head Office, The Priory, Canaan Lane, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH10 4SG – travel required throughout Scotland

Salary: £51,468 + Car Allowance - £4,145

Hours: 37 (Open to applicants looking for 0.8 or 0.6 FTE)

We are recruiting for an inspirational leader to head up the Finance function, and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), work with colleagues to fulfil our aim to support tenants and people we support to lead a good life.

As our Head of Finance, you will lead and continue to develop our Finance team to deliver an effective, efficient, and high quality service. You will also be responsible for putting in place risk managed operational plans that will ensure the Group’s continued development within operating models that are both financially viable and sustainable over the longer term. As part of Ark’s new five-year Business Plan, a key element of this role will include working closely with the Asset Management team to strategically appraise our existing stock and potential developments for growth.

Integral to this role is the provision of accurate and timely financial performance reports, forecasts and budgets. In addition to this, the post holder will support the SLT to take forward operational strategies. Motivational team leadership and team development abilities are essential with a positive commitment to continued professional development for self and others. Strong organisational, interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills are prerequisites. The role of Head of Finance reports directly to the Finance Director and will deputise for the Finance Director as required.

Ark is a major provider of Housing, Care and Support to people with long term and enduring conditions such as learning disability, mental health issues, dementia and autism. This is an exciting leadership role and comes at a time where Ark have undertaken a major piece of work where we have reviewed and developed our Business Plan for the next 5 years and beyond.
