Ark is a major provider of Care and Support to people with long term and enduring conditions such as learning disability, mental health issues, dementia and autism. As a housing association we are one of the smaller providers. Our aim is to ensure that those who use our services get the very best out of Ark to enable them to live a good life and to provide the best quality of housing to our tenants, some of whom we provide support to.

An exciting opportunity has arisen working as a HR Business Partner based in Ark’s Edinburgh Office.

The post holder will report to the Head of People and Organisational Development and will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and professional service within the HR team. You will work as part of a team in a business partnering model to deliver a high quality bespoke HR Service to the business in line with Ark’s Policies & Procedures.

In this role you will be responsible for the forward planning, transformation, engagement and performance of the workforce, whilst embedding best HR practice and raising the management capability of Ark’s management teams. You will be a role model by demonstrating an engaging HR leadership style and be the HR expert providing, workforce planning and employment law advice to all internal stakeholders.

This is an exciting role and comes at a time where Ark have undertaken a major piece of work where we have reviewed and developed our Business Plan for the next 5 years and beyond. This business plan will see Ark reshape as a modern, future-focused organisation that builds on our technological and digital capability that aims to positively impact on the lives of its tenants, supported people and staff.

The aim of the revised business plans is to:

· Have a reputation for excellence and be recognised as a high quality provider of housing and care

· Be known as an excellent employer where employees will enjoy rewarding careers

· Build our technological and digital capability to support a successful business

· Have in place leadership to create a culture of excellence throughout the business

You will also lead on designated HR initiatives and contribute towards Ark’s 'People Strategy'.

You will have previous experience of working within a demanding HR department, and have excellent IT Skills particularly, Word, Excel, Access & Outlook.
