We are currently recruiting for Community Support Workers within Edinburgh, Ball-Perazim provides various care options to Older People and People with Mental Health support needs to resume and or continue living in their own homes and in the community.

A Community Care Worker is community based. Our services enables our clients to remain in their own homes with adequate support to minimise risk of long term care or hospitalisation. The support provided ranges from delivering all activities of daily living to instrumental activities of daily living.

Community Care Worker main duties will include:

• washing/bathing, dressing/undressing, Oral care, Continence care management, Meal preparation / Diet monitoring, Eating and Drinking, Administering or prompting medication.
• Companionship care to minimise the risk of social isolation and loneliness.
• Respite / Sitter service to give families a break from their caring duties.
• Delivering high standards of care in a way that promotes respect and dignity.
• Always protecting client’s health, safety, and welfare
• Maintaining regular communication with the office staff.
• Recording client’s daily progress notes

• Ability to be patient & communicate in a calm manner when under pressure.
• Easily adaptable to new environments with understanding of the benefits that change brings
• Reliable & trustworthy with good work ethics
• Access to your own transport is desirable, however this is not essential as clients are within walkable distances.
• Flexible to work weekends.
• Professional, caring, and polite
• 2 satisfactory references
• Empathetic approach when dealing with others.
• Previous experience is desirable but full training will be offered.
• Ability to work shifts.
