Casual Workers (Opportunites in Prestonpans)

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our Johnny Moat Place team in Prestonpans on a casual basis. Our caring team works to ensure people aged 60 and over have the opportunity to maintain their independence, but take over the worries, such as meals, repairs and looking after the garden.

Casual Retirement Housing with Meals Assistant

You will be responsible for undertaking a range of cleaning duties to ensure that internal communal areas are clean, hygienic and meet the standards expected by our tenants and visitors to the development.

Additional cleaning tasks such as cleaning vacant flats and or external pathways of the development may be undertaken periodically. You may have the opportunity to be involved in other activities within the development including providing general assistance and support to tenants while on duty and supporting the manager with property related tasks. You will also assist by preparing the dining room for mealtimes, heating prepared meals and delivering them to tenants.

Casual Cook

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to showcase creativity with meals whilst consulting with tenants to ensure individual dietary needs are met.

Casual Cooks support cover requirements for planned and emergency leave. This would be a great opportunity for someone who would like to have more flexibility around their working arrangements and/or gain experience in social care.
