Blackwood are currently looking to recruit a Handyperson role for our Belses Gardens care home in Glasgow.

We are looking for someone who can support the routine checks of buildings and equipment, including, fire prevention and detection equipment, boiler room, electric switch room and back-up batteries. You will also oversee the reporting of faults or defects and carrying out minor maintenance tasks in line with company and regulatory standards. Ideally you will already have some related trade qualification or experience with a desirable knowledge of health and safety but an essential range of DIY skills to fulfil the role.

The successful candidate will take pride in the quality of their work, ensuring that this provides a safe living environment for our customers and workplace for our teams.

As there are driving requirements for this role, access to a vehicle and a driving license are essential for the role.
