Are you a teacher or further education professional with a background in special education?

Would you like to be part of something new and exciting for Scotland? You have the opportunity to play a critical role in the leading the delivery of Further Education for a cohort of young people who have too often missed out in the past.

Corseford College is seeking to appoint Lecturers/Teachers to take responsibility for overseeing course planning, assessment and reporting for all college students and also to deliver some of the learning programmes to students at from September 2022.

Our Lecturers will work closely with the Head of College, they will be involved in supporting the Head of College in developing all elements of the education curriculum. They will also ensure that all learning is targeted and relevant to students learning plans.

Corseford College is Scotland’s first specialist College providing post school education. The College is aimed at Young People who have left or are leaving school with complex additional support needs, aged 18-25. The College has been developed around the core idea of enabling young people to continue to learn and engage in their education journey.

The college is developed around eight underpinning principles:

Our ideal candidate will be confident, ambitious, and enthusiastic people with experience of delivering high quality learning experiences with young people or adults with additional support needs. We are excited to hear from interested individuals from a range of backgrounds. You might have a background in School Education or Further Education. Experience of working innovatively and delivering improvement is highly desirable as is the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.

Please note we are currently looking for 2 posts, one for 35 hours per week and another for 17.5 hours per week, please let us know when applying which role would suit you!
