Our fabulous #TeamNLCSCentral are recruiting for caring and enthusiastic individuals with a positive attitude to join them as Support Practitioners. Our team is expanding and we have 16 to 25 hour contracts available.

As travel will be required throughout North Lanarkshire and many of the people we support have their own mobility car, it is essential that you hold a full, UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle. ​​​​​​​

The Role

As a Support Practitioner you'll play a crucial role in supporting these individuals with all aspects of daily living, including cooking, personal care, managing personal finances and assisting with medication. You will support them individuals with their hobbies and interests which include music, going swimming, attending the gym and other outdoor activities.

The people we support within this network of services enjoy a lot of social activities and you’ll ideally share their love of animals, as they have pets at home and enjoy activities like horse therapy.

To be a great Support Practitioner you will be:

  • Reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the people we support

Shift Patterns

Your normal hours of work will be between 8.00 am and 11.00 pm, Monday to Sunday, and will be a mix of split shifts, shorter shifts and longer blocks of support. However there may be times you will be required to start earlier as we do have some services that start at 6am. You will be expected to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, sleepovers and public holidays as part of your rota.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
