Looking for a job with heaps of job satisfaction you'd struggle to find anywhere else? Look no further, as we're looking for someone like you!

Our amazing #TeamQuebec in Elgin are on the lookout for a new part-time colleague on a permanent (20 hours per week) basis. So, if you're enthusiastic, caring and flexible with a good sense of humour, you could be just who we're looking for!

The Role

You'll be joining our longest running service in Moray and will become part of a dedicated, fun and friendly team. Our team currently supports five individuals, all with different support needs to live in their own shared home.

The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same! Your main aim will be to support the individuals with all aspects of daily living, including shopping, housework, finances, medication and personal care.

All of the individuals are very active and love to get out and about, so you’ll also find yourself being involved in activities like swimming, music, darts, pool, badminton, gaming, horse riding, going to the cinema, meals out and arts & crafts to name a few.

About You

You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills that you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCCQF level 6/7) qualification too!

All we’ll need you to bring is: -

  • A caring and compassionate attitude
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Great communication and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • A creative drive to improve the lives of the individuals you support
  • Confidence in the use of computers

It would be great if you also have a driving license, however this isn't a deal-breaker for the right candidate!

Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual, shifts patterns do include early mornings, days, evenings, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays. Our weekends are worked on a one on/one off basis, so you'll be off every second weekend.

Our sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours and you’ll receive an additional sleepover payment of between £84 per night.

Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you!

We are looking to fill this vacancy as soon as possible, so reserve the right to close our advert early if we find a suitable candidate before the closing date. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.

Have any questions? If you'd like to find out more, please contact Kayleigh Grant on 01343 559337.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting your employment with us.

Cornerstone welcomes applications from all sections of the community and actively seeks to increase the diversity of our workforce.
