Start afresh with a career you love and get the job satisfaction you deserve!!

Our fabulous #TeamNewHouse in Kilbirnie is now recruiting for two calm and understanding individuals who loves getting out in the community to join them as a Support Workers on a part-time, permanent basis. We have a 16 and 30 hour contract available. The current salary is £9.50 per hour, with a pay award pending of £10.02 per hour.

The Role

You'll be providing support to a young man within his own residential setting who has Autism. As a Support Worker you will be supporting his day to day personal needs, including meal planning, cooking, support with housework, observation with his medication. He will require guidance to establish and adapt routines and prompting for personal care. This is a lone working role.

The person we support enjoys being active which includes going out for walks in the local community and drives in his car for a bite to eat. He loves dancing to music and is looking forward to going to the local discos again. For a bit of relaxing time he enjoys chilling out and spending time on his tablet.

We would be looking for you to be enthusiastic about participating and supporting him with his interests, plan activities whilst nurturing guiding him to be able to do things independently. By taking a person centred and outcomes focused approach, you will get to know him as an individual and help him recognise his potential.
