Are you interested in working for an award winning social care charity?

Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be!

Each person we support has different support needs, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

ENABLE Scotland creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met. Lets introduce you to some of the people you could be supporting;

Gary lives in his own home and requires support with keeping in house in order, shopping and exercising his dog, Gary gets support every day apart from a Sunday from 11am until 3pm and a longer day on a Tuesday until 4pm for Shopping.

Albert lives in his own home in Mauchline and requires support with all aspects of daily living, he also requires you to sleepover in his home to ensure he is supported overnight. Albert has his own car to get about and he enjoys attending things in his local area.

Craig - Lives in his own home in Mauchline where he is supported from 7am until 10pm, Craig requires support with all his daily tasks and personal care, He also requires support with his medication as he has epilepsy and you will be trained to keep him safe. Craig has his own car to access the local community and likes attending local groups.

Lauren - Lives at home with her family and requires support to attend activities and attend local groups and Clubs. Lauren likes to be out of the house every days and loves her support staff to find activities for her to participate in. She has lots of friends that she likes to meet up with too. Lauren's shifts are Monday - Friday 9 - 5. Lauren requires support with her personal care and medication too.
