About the Role
Are you an experienced development manager with a track record of delivering success? Are you someone who can innovative and lead the development of a new strategy to deliver our sustainability goals and motivate others to succeed? If so, our Head of Development & Sustainability post will offer you the opportunity to join our Senior Management Team and contribute to our overall business improvement and transformation strategy as well as shape this new role within the organisation.
More specifically you will lead the creation of our ambitious new build and remodelling programme and our organisational wide sustainability plan. You will be located in our Assets Service but work closely with all our teams to ensure what we build and where we build is sector leading, helps older people be independent and achieves our sustainability goals.
We are looking for a candidate that can identify with the values of the organisation, share our ambition for Hanover and the customers we serve and provide the drive and energy to achieve our outcomes.
This role is responsible to the Director of Strategic Asset Management and an integral part of the Senior Management Team. You will work closely with the CEO, Directors and the Senior Management Team with collective responsibility to provide robust systems and frameworks to achieve our strategic objectives.
This is a complex role requiring the skilful balancing of multiple work streams underpinned with strong leadership qualities including:
- Demonstrating a wide understanding of the sustainability agenda, the opportunities this present to housing associations and how this will allow us to meet net zero
- Ability to co-create and deliver strategies and plans that meet our overarching strategic objectives
- Communicating, collaborating and influencing to cement strategic alliances and partnership working
