About Us

KSC supports over 300 people throughout Fife and Falkirk, providing high quality and personalised support and care designed to meet individual needs and desired outcomes.

We provide support to people with a range of needs in their own homes, including those with: learning disability, autistic spectrum disorder, complex needs, mental health issues, age related needs, homelessness, drug and alcohol addictions.

The support and care provided by KSC is flexible, responsive and person centered support which assists people to live their lives as they wish and to enable them to meet their desired outcomes.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new service with an aim to reduce repeat homelessness within Fife. The service is a test of change and forms part of the Rapid Rehousing Transition Plan (RRTP) in Fife. The services will be led by Kingdom Support and Care CIC and be delivered in conjunction with our partners, The Richmond Fellowship Scotland and Frontline Fife.

The service provides support both through an assertive outreach service and temporary accommodation service in Central Fife. Providing person centered, responsive, flexible and wrap-around support to individuals who have experienced repeat homelessness. Support offered will be based on individual plans that direct and help these individuals to be able to live well and gain permanent housing solutions as well dealing with conflicting areas including but not limited to addiction, poor well being and mental health.

Hours of Work & Rate of Pay

The working hours are between 08.00 - 22.00 Monday - Sunday with various Part Time contracted hours available

Unqualified salary point 9 Hourly Rate of £10.24 - Unqualified

Qualified salary point 10 Hourly Rate of £10.50 - Qualified


About You

You will be passionate in working towards prevention and addressing the issues of the homeless cycle within Fife and have knowledge and understanding of traumas effects. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated candidates who are solutions focused and capable of balancing a number of conflicting priorities whilst remaining professional and delivering the highest quality of support to individuals who can have trust, confidence issues along with unstable lifestyles.

If you have experience within support particularly along with relevant experience or understanding of homelessness this could be an opportunity for you! You should possess clear communication skills and be confident in using various IT packages. You will be required to be flexible and have a good understanding of the principles of Housing First and outcome focused support.

Due to the location of this role within Hunter House and it being an old building that has been converted into flats you will require to be able to climb stairs.

Requirements

  • A current driving licence, business insurance and the use of a car for work purposes are desirable however not always essential in this role
