KSC supports over 300 people throughout Fife and Falkirk, providing high quality and personalised support and care designed to meet individual needs and desired outcomes.

We provide support to people with a range of needs in their own homes, including those with: learning disability, autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), complex needs, mental health issues, age related needs, homelessness, drug and alcohol addictions.

The support and care provided by KSC is flexible, responsive and person centred support which assists people to live their lives as they wish and to enable them to meet their desired outcomes.

About the Role

The Inverkeithing service consists of two bungalows and an upstairs flat, with two service users sharing the flat and one bungalow. The other bungalow has sole occupancy. Waking Night staff will be based in a separate flat on site.

Support is provided to five individuals who live within this long term temporary accommodation. The support we provide is person centred support which is co-produced with the individuals ensuring their needs, choices, goals and aspirations are valued.

In this role, you will be an integral member of the support team contributing to and ensuring the high quality of care and support is delivered to meet their needs, which may be challenging and/or chaotic.

Full training will be given. This is a lone working role and previous care experience in a similar setting is essential. This post has an occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010, Part 1, Schedule 9, which restricts applications to males only.

Minimum contracted hours - 35 hours with Waking night hours being (10 pm - 8 am)

You will have a good work ethic with sound professional values. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with experience of dealing with challenging and chaotic behaviour being desirable.
