Job Title: Support Worker

Locations: Coatbridge

Pay Rate: £10.90 per hour

Shifts available: 30hrs per week plus 2 sleepovers

Driving Licence required: Yes, due to the activities with the Service User in their car.

Mochridhe is currently recruiting for a compassionate and hard-working individual for the role of Support Worker in the Coatbridge area for a 24-hour care package.

We are specifically recruiting for a male support worker who can drive, is physically fit to undertake 30hrs plus 2 sleepovers per week (supporting a young man with Learning Disabilities) and is outgoing and fun to be around.

Duties will include:

· Outings with service user daily to any of the following: trampoline parks, badminton, cycling, bowling, local theme parks, walks, long drives to scenic parts of Scotland

· Help with diabetic needs – administering medication

· Preparing meals

· Some aspects of personal care

· Assisting with general household tasks

· Going on holiday with service user and joining in on all activities on the holiday.

· Supporting the service user with achieving their goals in life

Key skills and attributes required:

Previous experience as a Support Worker is essential for this specific care package. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, enthusiastic and encouraging the service user to be independent. A current member of the PVG scheme or willing to register, be registered with SSSC or be prepared to register. A driving licence is essential for this position.
