Dementia Care Worker (Nights)

Closing Date: Thursday 27 January 2022

The Mungo Foundation is a well-established charitable organisation, with over 40 years of experience supporting vulnerable individuals across Scotland. We employ over 700 staff, supporting approximately 1500 people a year, across a diverse array of services. Our services are tailored to the needs of each individual we work with and together we work hard to improve their quality of life.

Our Southside Dementia Service is situated over two sites in the Gorbals area of Glasgow. The McNeil and Moffat Street projects are specialised residential care homes which provides eight places in both sites for older people who have dementia.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Dementia Care Worker (Nights) to join our team within our Moffat Street Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering high-quality person-centred support plans, contributing to positive outcomes for the individuals we support, whilst promoting therapeutic and recreational activities. You must be willing to undertake regular shift work as required.

Qualifications or experience are not essential. We offer excellent support, training and a salary of £10.02 per hour.

If successful but unqualified, you must be willing to work towards a suitable qualification for a post at this level, in line with the SSSC Regulatory Requirements.

If you are looking for a new and rewarding challenge, this may be the ideal opportunity for you.

We value our staff very highly. Alongside competitive terms and conditions we also offer membership of an employee benefits scheme, a credit union and a workplace pension, plus numerous training and development opportunities, including SVQ registration level qualifications.

To apply please complete an online application form which can be found on our website www.themungofoundation.org.uk under Join our Team, then Work with Us, then under the relevant vacancy click on the Apply button.

Appointments are made subject to satisfactory membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme, SSSC registration and appropriate safer recruitment checks.
