The Mungo Foundation is a well-established charitable organisation, with over 40 years of experience supporting vulnerable individuals across Scotland. We employ over 700 staff, supporting approximately 1500 people a year, across a diverse array of services. Our services are tailored to the needs of each individual we work with and together we work hard to improve their quality of life.

We're one of the most diverse providers of social care and support for vulnerable people in Glasgow, West Central Scotland and beyond. At any one time we will typically run around 40 different types of projects, delivering support to over 1500 individuals, their families and communities.

We currently have a number of varied and exciting support worker opportunities in our Housing Support Services based throughout Barrhead and surrounding areas, which provide personalised support services to a range of individuals with learning disabilities. The individuals we support have their own tenancies with local Housing Associations and your role will be to assist the people we support live as full and independent a life as possible.

Successful candidates will be flexible in their approach to providing outcome-based support for all service users, ensuring that they are in control of their own support.

A flexible shift pattern including evenings and weekends is part of this role and is essential to the provision of flexible, needs led support. Wakened night shift and sleepovers may also be required.

The successful candidates must possess or be willing to work towards a suitable qualification for a post at this level, in line with the SSSC Regulatory Requirements.

If you feel you have what it takes to fulfil the above criteria, we would be pleased to receive an application from you.

We have various contractual hours available (up to 35 hours per week). When applying, please indicate your preferred hours.

Qualifications or experience are not essential. We offer excellent support, training and a salary of £10.02 per hour.

If you are looking for a new and rewarding challenge, this may be the ideal opportunity for you.

We value our staff very highly. Alongside competitive terms and conditions we also offer membership of an employee benefits scheme, a credit union and a workplace pension, plus numerous training and development opportunities, including SVQ registration level qualifications.

To apply, please complete an online application form which can be found on our website under join our team, then work with us, then under the relevant vacancy click on the apply button.

Appointments are made subject to satisfactory membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme, SSSC registration and appropriate safer recruitment checks.
