Your new opportunity

Glasgow Connect 1 support Adults with Learning Disabilities and other additional needs, in a range of different settings; from their own tenancies to shared supported living throughout Glasgow, North West.

We provide 24 hour support, supporting people socially, personally and within all aspects of their life. We work closely with the people we support as well as their families and other professionals to make sure we are always providing the best care for each individual.

As a Senior Support Worker, your duties would fall under the following areas:

  • Coaching and mentoring front line staff, providing support and regular supervision.
  • Identifying the training needs of your team and ensuring that training is provided.
  • Creating the monthly rota for your team, considering budgetary requirements and managing holiday cover and absence.
  • Developing your team's ability to create accurate and effective support plans.
  • Being available for on-call shift work as needed.
  • Planning and facilitating meetings with individuals and important people in their lives to gather information for support plans.
  • Matching supported individuals to staff members based on identified outcomes and goals.
  • Collaborating with external agencies, such as individuals' families or Social Work Services.
  • Ensuring compliance with standards set by the SSSC, Care Inspectorate, and Quarriers.
  • Representing Quarriers' values positively when working with multi-agency teams.

This is a permanent role working 39 hours per week. Shifts pattern will be discussed with the successful candidate
