Here at The Richmond Fellowship Scotland are currently looking to recruit Support Practitioners for our fantastic service in Barrhead.

No previous experience in care is required as you will be provided with full training by our excellent and award-winning learning & development team prior to starting. This training initially consists of classroom-based sessions and e-learning as well as the opportunity to shadow current Support Practitioners in their day-to-day role and meet the people you will be supporting.

On top of this training we will also finance and support you to achieve your SVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care in-house!

Requirements:

This is a 24/7 service, therefore you would be required to commit to sleepovers, weekend work and shifts.

Currently we can offer full-time (39 hours) or part-time contracts.

Due to the nature of the service we can only accept applications from Female Only candidates who have a valid UK driving licence and access to their own vehicles. You will be paid for your travel during your shift and there is a fuel allowance of 45p per mile.

About the Role:

This service supports young individuals with complex needs and autism.

The individuals we support lead very healthy and active lifestyles so part of your role would be supporting them to attend activities such as swimming and walking groups etc.

Your responsibilities will depend on the needs of the individuals that you support and can include:

· Medical Support- Administering and monitoring medication.

· Personal Care- Assist people to maintain their wellbeing by promoting their personal care which would include assistance with showering/bathing, dressing, arranging visits with professionals such as dentists, doctors or opticians, assisting with incontinence care.

· Practical Support- Helping people to maintain their tenancy by encouraging daily household tasks such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, shopping.
