Here at The Richmond Fellowship Scotland we make a real difference in supporting people with their everyday lives. We have an exciting opportunity as a Support Practitioner to support individuals across our services in Buckhaven.

This vacancy is predominantly for day shifts with night shifts on a rotational basis. This vacancy is open to non-drivers, however having a driving licence would be beneficial. Please note that these posts are offered on a shift pattern basis and may include weekends and public holidays. We have full time and part time contracts available. The service in Buckhaven is a HMO service with currently 4 residents of different age brackets residing in the house. Some of the duties you might expect to perform on shift are personal care, administration of medication, laundry, meal preparation, shopping, finances, carrying out relevant health and safety checks, whilst supporting everyone to be as independent as possible. Crisis Aggression Limitation Management (CALM) training is included in the training provided by the Richmond Fellowship Scotland. Day shift times are 8am -9pm and night shifts 9pm-8am. Due to the requirements of this role, this vacancy is open to male applicants only.

We support over 2800 individuals with a variety of needs, some may have physical and/or learning disabilities and Mental Health some with limited verbal communication and some with challenging behaviour.

Each person we support is unique so each support role will be different to the next, giving you the chance to really make a difference in that individuals life.
