Requirements:

We are looking for caring, supportive, adaptable, approachable, empathetic, fun and positive individuals across several services in Glenrothes and surrounding areas. Some posts cover surrounding locations such as Auchtermuchty, Thornton, Kettlebridge, Cardenden, Kirkaldy, whilst some may be based in Glenrothes itself only. We have part time, full time and bank contracts available. Some posts are for day shifts only whilst other posts include sleepover shifts (sleepover payments are £87 per sleepover on top of your contracted salary). Due to the nature of our services in this area, we can only accept applications from candidates who have a valid full driving license (manual) and access to their own vehicle.

You will be paid for your travel time while on shift and there is also a 45p per mile fuel allowance. Certain services operate enhanced weekend rates of £14.53 per hour (increasing after 1st April 2023). Please note that all posts are offered on a shift pattern basis and will include weekend and public holiday shifts, however we have shift patterns to suit your availability as a part time or bank staff member. For all posts the induction training takes place during the day in our new Kirkcaldy office.

No previous experience in care is required as we provide full in-house training to all new staff members and will even invest in you to achieve your SVQ Level 2, so even if this is a new career path for you, we would love to meet you. What matters most is that you have the right values and the right attitude.

About the Role:

Your responsibilities as a Support Practitioner could include:

· Social Support- Assisting individuals to engage with their communities by planning and attending outings to various clubs and leisure activities such as day centres, bowling, cinema, swimming etc.

· Medical Support- Administering and monitoring medication.

· Personal Care- Assist people to maintain their wellbeing by promoting their personal care which would include assistance with showering/bathing, dressing, arranging visits with professionals such as dentists, doctors or opticians, assisting with incontinence care.

· Practical Support- Helping people to maintain their tenancy by encouraging daily household tasks such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, shopping.

All successful Support Practitioner applicants will be given a conditional offer- this is subject to the receipt of satisfactory references, PVG and a Covid-19 related risk assessment.
