Female* Personal Assistant

Job Purpose

Our Personal Assistants support people to lead full, active and socially connected lives, supporting people to achieve the things that matter to them.

Applicants should have, or be willing to work towards, a qualification meeting the standards required for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

Job Details

We are looking for a female* Personal Assistant to join an established team to support a lady in her everyday life, 24 hours a day on a 2:1 basis. She lives in Craigmillar, Edinburgh. This position is for up to 39 hours per week.

Current shift patterns are:

• Times to be determined, sleepovers required

Staff work on a rota system so applicants should be able to do any shift. The team will plan and agree the shifts and rota.

This young lady enjoys activities in her community, which include swimming, spa days, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. She likes to go to the seaside and play in the arcades. In the house she enjoys dancing to music

Applicants should have the ability to work as part of a team, ensuring there is consistency in approach.

Staff need to be able to remain calm and resilient, when situations get demanding, follow protocols and Behavioural Support Plans to help reduce anxieties, which will help her to feel safe and confident.

Experience of working with people with complex needs would be preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
