Personal Assistant (Support Worker)

Job Purpose

Our Personal Assistants support people to lead full, active and socially connected lives, supporting people to achieve the things that matter to them.

Applicants should have, or be willing to work towards, a qualification meeting the standards required for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

Job Details

We are looking for a Personal Assistant to join an existing team to support a gentleman living in Craigmillar, Edinburgh.

The position is for 16 hours per week on a rolling rota made by the team. The shifts can be mornings, daytime or around tea time.

The shift times are:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
• Thursday: 9:30 am - 3:30 pm
• Weekends: 10 am - 12 pm

"I am man in my 60's who needs support with my morning routine and a couple of longer days a week. I love my birds who like sitting on my shoulder. I enjoy baking and chatting with my staff.

My shift patterns are during the day to support me to take part in activities I like. I like to use the hours I have productively but need a stable team around me so that I can meet my outcomes that I set myself going forward in my life to the best of my ability with my teams support."
