Thistle aims to support individuals, families and communities to maximise their potential and achieve the best possible quality of life.

Thistle Service Development Assistants (SDA) work in services that require resilient support, supporting people who when stressed or distressed communicate in ways which can challenge us. Service Development Assistants assist those we support to lead full, active and socially connected lives and support people to reach their outcomes. SDAs are supported by the Service Development Practitioner, Service Development Lead and the Thistle Hub.

We require you to have experience of supporting people with autism and people that require a resilient approach. You will be familiar with using and contributing to Positive Behaviour Support Plans and working as part of a team to maximise understanding of different forms of communication and approaches to minimise stress.

To arrange an informal discussion about this post, in the first instance please contact Carrie Newland, Service Development Lead, at caroline.newland@thistle.org.uk.
