Because People Matter - Work with Us

Do you have a passion for helping vulnerable people enjoy as much fulfilment as they can and feel included in their community? If compassion, care and inclusiveness are an important part of who you are, our opportunities to work away from the routine in a demanding, challenging but emotionally rewarding role could be for you.

Our Turning Point Scotland Services in Ayr are looking for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.

Turning Point Scotland Ayr Supported Living and Transition Services

Turning Point Scotland Ayr’s Supported Living Service works in partnership with South Ayrshire Council to deliver services to people who have Learning Disabilities or on the Autistic Spectrum to live in and maintain their own tenancies. We have been successfully supporting adults in the South Ayrshire area since 2004. Each individual has a committed staff team who work together to deliver a bespoke person centred package of support to meet the person’s day to day needs with a focus on achieving agreed outcomes.

Since 2014 we have also been successfully working in partnership with South Ayrshire Council supporting young people with Learning Disabilities and individuals on the Autistic Spectrum in transition, from leaving school into community supports. Support is individually tailored to meet the person’s specific needs. Supports are community based where people are supported to become active members of their community through accessing local resources, building on skills, maintaining and developing friendships and employment opportunities and working towards agreed outcomes.

We receive referral from people who use Self Directed Support and are familiar with processes involved in financing support via Individual service funds (ISF) and Direct Payments.

The service offers support to people with Learning Disabilities and individuals on the Autistic spectrum, to access activities in their local community, support to maintain employment, develop skills and maintain friendships by attending community based groups.

We tailor the services to meet the needs of the people we support and work on agreed outcomes to support the development of independence, confidence and self resilience.

The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members.

No previous working experience is needed; full training will be provided to you. We believe having the right values of respect, compassion, inclusion and integrity is all you need to join our team! We would offer you full support in completing your application.
